Give

Grateful Hearts

Thank you for your generosity!

As Christ Followers, we believe that we are stewards of God’s resources because He is the owner of all that we have. Throughout scripture, we are reminded of the importance of giving back a portion of what God has so generously provided. His Word tells us that giving is an act of worship that should be done with a spirit of thanksgiving.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Does Generosity for Generations replace Lottie Moon?

No.
It does not replace Lottie Moon in any way.
You can continue giving to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering through the same familiar channels, and any funds designated to Lottie Moon will go 100% to Lottie Moon.

International missions through the Lottie Moon Offering is also the first priority within Generosity for Generations. Until our Lottie Moon goal is met, funds from Generosity for Generations will be directed toward that initiative. We are praying for our largest Lottie Moon gift ever.

2. Why are there different channels in how the offering will be used?

Because we want to impact lostness locally and globally.
God is working in our community and among the next generation, and we want to see God use our generosity to make Kingdom impact in every way He opens doors for us to engage.

This includes:
• evangelistic school release programs
• student outreach events
• on-campus engagement and FCA gatherings
• next-generation worship services
• equipping and discipleship space for kids and students

We also want to walk open-handed as we prepare for future worship growth, which could mean a future building, a church plant, or additional services as God leads.

Different channels allow us to support where God is at work locally, regionally, and globally without diminishing any part of the mission.

3. Do Lottie Moon and Generosity for Generations overlap?

Yes, in some ways they do, but they are working together toward the same mission. Jesus calls us in Acts 1:8 to reach Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria, and the ends of the earth.

Lottie Moon helps us reach the ends of the earth. Generosity for Generations allows us to impact all these areas and strengthens the mission as a whole.

4. How are funds from Generosity for Generations used?

Every dollar given is restricted to ministry expansion, missions, and future worship growth. None of it is used for general budget expenses. Our Finance Committee provides financial oversight, and we will celebrate with the congregation how God uses these gifts in the months ahead.

5. Can I give to both?

Yes. We hope many will. Our greatest desire is that every family participates in one or both opportunities as the Lord leads.

Why Generosity for Generations Matters

We stand on the faith of believers who planted seeds long before us. Now we have the opportunity to plant seeds for the generations who will follow us.
This offering fuels gospel ministry now, strengthens mission work around the world, and helps us prepare for what God desires to do next.

Why We Give

Our Generosity Philosophy

We respond to the gospel by bringing our first and best because God gave His first and best in Jesus. Generosity is a gift from God that reflects our love for Him and transforms us into the likeness of Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit. As we empower generations to love God, love people, and put that love into action, we embrace generosity as a core expression of our faith.

Foundational Truths

  • God is First. God Went First.

God is first in all things (Genesis 1:1-31), and He demonstrated His love by going first through Christ (Romans 5:8). Therefore, we bring our first and best to Him because Jesus is preeminent and first in all things. (Colossians 1:15-20; Genesis 4:2-5; Matthew 6:25-34)

Principles of Generosity

  • We are Gospel Driven

Our giving is motivated by the gospel: Jesus died for our sins, and our lives are fully surrendered to Him. (2 Corinthians 9:1-15)
  • Money Reveals the Heart

Money is not our idol; rather, it reveals where our idols lie. (Matthew 6:1-34)
  • Our Hope is in Eternity, Not Earth

We give because our hope is rooted in eternal things, not in earthly possessions. (1 Timothy 6:6-19, Matthew 6:19-21, Luke 12:13-21)
  • We Trust in God’s Provision

Investing in God’s economy reflects our trust in His provision over the world’s economy. (Mark 10:17-31)
  • We are a Conduit of God’s Grace

God enriches us in every way to be generous on every occasion, producing thanksgiving to Him. Generosity flows from His grace. (2 Corinthians 9:1, 2 Corinthians 9:11)
  • Giving is a Privilege

Generosity is a joyful privilege, not an obligation. We don’t have to give; we get to give. (2 Corinthians 8:1-9:15, Luke 18:9-14)

As followers of Christ, we give in response to God’s ultimate gift: His Son. Our generosity reflects His character, advances His kingdom, and draws us closer to Him. We give with joy, trust, and hope, knowing that our treasures are stored in heaven.

“The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it…”

—Psalm 24:1
