In El Salvador, school typically ends around 11:30 a.m., allowing the children to spend most of their afternoon at the centers, engaging in enriching programs that foster growth and community. Beyond working directly with the children, teams also tackle various special projects during the mornings before the kids arrive. These projects range from painting and welding to organizing the facilities, all contributing to the sustainability and improvement of the program sites.
Additionally, there are often opportunities for offsite outreach, extending the program’s impact beyond the two centers. For instance, last year’s team visited a local school outside the program, where several members shared powerful testimonies with the students, fostering connection and inspiration in a new environment. Through these multifaceted efforts, Envision El Salvador creates a space where children and communities thrive, while providing visiting teams with unforgettable experiences of service and transformation.
