Discussion Questions: 

  1. Whose offering did God accept? 

ANSWER: God accepted Abel’s and rejected Cain’s. The Bible tells us that He accepted Abel’s offering because he gave it by faith. 

  1. What did God tell Cain? 

ANSWER: God told him if he did what was right, his offering would be accepted.  He also said sin was crouching at the door and that it wanted Cain, but Cain must rule over it. 

  1. How did Cain sin against God and his brother?

ANSWER: He killed his brother, Abel. Cain did not obey or want to live in a way that showed he loved God.
