1. Why did Paul write to the Colossian church?
Answer: Some people were telling the people in the church lies about Jesus and the gospel. Paul wrote to encourage them and remind them the truth about Jesus.
2. What were some truths Paul wrote about Jesus?
Answer: Paul wrote that Jesus shows us what God is like, that He is eternal, that He is the creator of all things, and that all things were made to bring Him glory. Paul also wrote that Jesus keeps everything held together: the earth, the sun, even our bodies. Jesus is King over it all and everything obeys Him.
3. How did Jesus rescue people from sin?
Answer: Jesus died on the cross and shed His blood to wash away our sins. Anyone who trusts in Jesus has forgiveness of sins and eternal life with Him.
