The Gospel of John says, “The Word became flesh and dwelt among us.” The word “dwelt” can be translated “tabernacled.” It means God once again moved into the middle of our world, not in a tent but in a person. Jesus is the true dwelling place of God. The glory that once rested behind a curtain now rested in a manger. The God who lived near His people in the wilderness now lived with His people in human form.
Christmas is the moment when glory came down.
God moved in.
God became one of us so He could bring us to Himself.
This December we invite you to join us for our Advent series, “Glory Came Down,” as we explore how the story of the tabernacle points to the story of Jesus. You will see how God prepared the way. You will see why the manger matters. And you will see how Jesus still brings the presence of God into real life today.
Whether you have been in church for years or are exploring faith, this series will help you understand the heart of Christmas and the hope it offers.
Come celebrate with us.
Come see why glory came down.
And come discover what it means for your life today.
