10 Ways You Can Make a Difference This Easter

Hey Church Family,

Easter is almost here and I can't wait to see what God does!

This is the Sunday people show up. Some will walk through those doors carrying more than they'll let on. And you might be the reason they come, the reason they stay, and the reason they hear the gospel. Here are 10 simple things you can do to make it count:

1. Pray now.
Don't wait until Sunday. Ask God right now to prepare hearts , including yours.

2. Pray as you pull into the parking lot.
Before your feet hit the pavement, pause and ask Him to fill the room with His presence.

3. Park farther away.
If you're able, give the closer spots to guests, seniors, and families with little ones. It's a small thing that says something big.

4. Consider an earlier service.
Coming to one of our earlier services helps create breathing room during our busiest times.

5. Arrive early and walk in expectant.
The environment starts before the first song. Your presence matters.

6. Sit toward the front.
It helps guests who arrive late feel less exposed. Also, if you can fill in empty seats in the middle of rows, it makes it so much easier to seat guests and fill the room. 

7. Smile and say hello.
Look for faces you don’t recognize. Smile and say, “Hey, I don’t think we’ve met yet, I’m Jason.” Then ask, “How long have you been coming to Cowee?” It opens the door for a real conversation without putting pressure on them. Avoid “Is this your first time?” It can make people feel singled out, especially when there are multiple services. It really makes a difference when you greet and let folks know how happy we are to see them. 

8. Invite someone — today.
Most people would say yes if a friend asked them. Here's a text you can copy and send right now:

One text. One phone call. One moment. It could change everything. 

9. Worship like you mean it.
Jesus isn't still in the tomb. Let's not worship like He is. Joy is contagious.  Jesus is alive. Sing like you believe it. 

10. Carry resurrection hope into the week that follows.
Easter isn't just a Sunday.  Live in the light of an empty grave this Sunday and every day that follows.
