Kentucky Flood Relief Supplies

Jason Smith   -

Hey Church,

See the message below from one of our college students, Ashlee Welch, who has felt led to take some supplies to those with areas devastated by the flooding in Eastern, KY. Thankful for her heart to put love in action! She will be going on Monday, so any donations would need to be brought in this Sunday.

Hi church family. This is Ashlee Welch and you have probably heard about the flooding in Eastern Kentucky this past week. My teammates families live in Hazard and I have been blessed to meet several people in that community. The local high school archery coach is currently feeding meals from the flea market and almost all are still without power and water. I asked how we could help and he gave me a short list, but the water is still going down. My mom and I are driving a load of supplies up Monday for distribution and to share Jesus’ love with the displaced and scared. I know it’s short notice, but if you have extras of any of these things or would like to contribute gift cards for Walmart, we would love for you to leave them at the entrance to service tomorrow. we’ll gather them early Monday am and take them up there.

– cases of bottled waters
– cleaning supplies (rags, gloves, shovels and heavy duty trash bags as well)
– canned foods and snack foods
– toiletries and feminine products and diapers
(preferably no clothing donations)

These are the items they need most urgently, and anything you can provide will be greatly appreciated by this community!
